Hey Friends!
Just thought I would share a few photos with everyone...nothing too exciting but its my attempt to try and blog more :)
Okay this first picture is our deck during a little hail storm - yes I know these hail stones are pretty wimpy but they got bigger so we had to go inside :) This was shortly before a storm that actually had me worried. I woke up around 1230am to the sound of wind whistling, continual thunder and almost constant lightening. I listened for a little bit but very soon got worried that perhaps we needed to get to the basement. So I got up and opened our bedroom door and was faced with the entire house whistling and shaking from thunder boomies...so I got scared - turned around and headed back to our bedroom to get some support. So I stood over Seth (sound asleep - of course!) - touched his shoulder - and told him "Seth..its pretty bad outside..I think we need to go check the weather." He got up as fast as I've ever seen someone who's sound asleep get up :) We turned on the TV and Seth informed me that I should never wake him up like that again (I guess it is pretty scary to stand above someone with continual lightening and not say anything...whoops!) So we looked outside and watched the 80 mph wind rip across the roofs. The next day we looked outside and noticed what was left of our neighbors trampoline - some bent wire framing. After talking to the neighbors I found out they had actually watched their tramp lift up, flip on its side, and roll like a wheel 3 houses down until it crashed into a house's side. I really should have tried to tape or take pictures or something...but when youre worried you might not make it - you dont really think about blogging :) The next day driving into work was very interesting...ENTIRE trees - big, old trees - toppled over right at the base. Okay that was a long story but it was pretty exciting.
Here are some curtains I bought that were too short for the windows they needed to go on - so I listened to my brilliant friend Kinsey and added some fabric to the bottom - I think they look pretty good :) Thanks Kinsey!!
