Seth and Pam's Wedding

Seth and I had the pleasure of attending Pam Brenneman's wedding this weekend and I thought I would share some photos. Before the wedding Seth and I enjoyed some downtown Omaha.

The wedding ceremony was outside on the bluffs in Council Bluffs - very pretty!!

This was the end part of Seth's vows to Pam - he can preach it :)

Mrs. Bradshaw
Cutie Patootie Jace Bradshaw

The wedding reception was held at the Durham Western Heritage Museum - very cool. It is a renovated train station - so tall and majestic. I did take some footage, but it ended up being too dark to see - but during the toasts, Seth (Pam's husband) presented Arv (Pam's dad) with two live chickens as this was custom in Africa :) Seth's words: "If I were in Africa I would have to give Pam's dad at least 40 cows,  and Pam is worth more like 70 cows" :) But he settled for chickens - not sure what Arv will be doing with these animals. Stacey said "I'll be the one that ends up with these chickens and I don't want them."

Here is Seth with some statues - for those of you who don't know - Seth has a thing with statues. :)

The Tulie FIzzle!!!!

Hey Friends!
Just wanted to share a little "Tulie Fizzle" magic with you - we got big horses, the final countdown, and some Lassen boys marching :)

Have to share a funny story - so Seth, Sara, and I get to the Tulie Fizzle and my mom is saving us seats - and she says "I'm bursting right now!" She obviously has a good story to tell so I listen:

She tells me about how Ty needs black pants for marching band and that she got him some but he just never tried them on until 5 minutes before he needed to be on the bus - so its time to go and he puts them on... or tries to. They are very small - much much too small. The size on the outside label does not match the size on the inside. So its a frantic scramble to find pants for Ty who needs to leave in t-minus 2 minutes. So they try Micah's - no good. Ty and Micah are shaped too differently. So mom tries to find some of hers and just can't find any that would work. So Del finds a pair of his and yes...while Ty is a big kid for his age, he is not quite fitting into my father's clothes yet. So they put these pants on him and fold the waist multiple times until he's able to actually move in them. Then they secure this bunchy mess with a belt cinched very tight. Binkie realizes that they will ask the children to tuck in their shirts and informs Ty - no matter what you do - do NOT tuck your shirt in, your shirt is the only thing able to hide this problem. So Del brings the kid up to school cuz he needs to get on the bus and leave, and this is the moment where Del realizes that Ty is wearing navy pants and not black pants. And of course - some choice "father of the bride" quotes enter his mind. He does not tell Ty his pants are navy and assumes some of his friends will let him know. To finalize this situation - Dad is about to leave when he sees Ty pounding on the bus window mouthing something that looks like "I forgot my sax!!" Once Ty is finally able to get his bus window down, he informs Dad that he forgot his "socks," his black socks. And Dad replies - who cares?!? No one will see your socks - your pants are 6 inches too long!!

The boys did very well - they looked pretty good considering everything :) We were all saying little prayers that Ty's pants would not fall off - and they did not, so we are good :)

And then to end the night - the sun and clouds were so pretty as twilight was setting in - so we took some pictures - Enjoy! And Happy Tulie Fizzle to everyone!!
