Memories

It's hot and humid. We were sitting around
the house lamenting about our long lost pool.
Then mom called the people who live in our
old house and asked if we could come swim and
they said "we were just thinking about how we're
going out of town and felt bad that our pool
wouldn't get used - and we were thinking about
you guys!" S0 we went swimming - just like the
old days - thanks God :)

Happy 4th of July!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
Seth and I were able to go to the lakes once
I was done with work on Sunday. We drove
the boat out to the middle of the lake and
watched the fireworks from there - it was
very beautiful and entertaining! :)

Micah and Paige

One of the highlights of fireworks was the boats
that would drive through all the parked boats
too quickly - everyone would yell at them, telling
them to "SLOW DOWN!" and then usually within
10 seconds or so the DNR would pull them over
and everyone would cheer and clap :)
Here are a couple videos of this happening - we
watched this happen about four times :)

Update

Well hello everyone! Just thought I'd post a
little update. So its been a very busy week for
us. Seth has broken his 4 year streak of injury
free-ness - he dislocated his shoulder on Monday
during our slowpitch softball game. He was heading
home for an in the park homerun and it was a close
play and the catcher ended up landing on him. It was
a stressful couple of minutes until it popped back into
place! And we only had his car at the game - his stickshift
car - so poor guy had to endure a pretty jerky ride home.
He's doing pretty well now - in a sling and he's not supposed
to use it much for the next two weeks - we'll see how he
does with that!

Other news - I saw an ad for an amazing plant. It's
called a bloomerang lilac bush and its a dwarf lilac
bush that blooms the entire summer!!! Sounds
amazing huh? I ordered it online in April and
FINALLY received it last week. It was much
smaller than I had anticipated - about 5 inches tall.....
So we'll see how it goes...hopefully I don't kill it
since it's so tiny and frail!

The nursery is coming along splendidly! Arlin and
Janene made us some amazing vinyl designs for
the walls - they match the bedding. It looks so great!!
