Sticky Buns and Roses!

I made sticky buns from a cooking light recipe - yummy! See - Dad likes them!

These are my roses and my one mutant stem. There is just starting to be a bud forming on top -  This better be the biggest rose ever.

Arlin Van Gorp - Bug Smoker

I was messing with my video camera and I found this short clip that I had forgotten to take off the camera. Arlin has a bug smoker which he uses to smoke the perimeter of the campsite to ward off all species of bugs - and this is a clip of him heading back to the campsite after he had gone and done his good deed for the day - smoking out all the people waiting for the fireworks along the river. We didn't know he was doing this, and looked up to see him encircling all the people with a funny tasting smoke. It was hilarious and Jana had tears running down her face.

Hawkeye Saturday

We had Dad, Micah, Ty, and my friend Kristel over to watch the Hawkeye game today. We watched the Hawks dominate against the third worst team in the country - yeah Hawks! Dad was finally able to get his hands on Mario Kart for Wii so I got to experience that... I kinda wish they were still here...I need some more practice. But it was super fun! I love it when Dad comes over...he just fixes anything that he finds needs some touching up. He fixed my sliding door and then noticed our spindly, little dead tree and asked if we were going to get rid of that - I said yes we would, we just didn't know how to go about ripping out a tree. So he walks up to the thing and rips it right out of the ground - and now our tree problem is fixed!! :) Way to go Dad. Here are some pictures of his feat.
